Devin Melville

Environmental planner, ISA Certified Arborist®

Devin is an environmental planner who has worked as a consultant in the greater Seattle area for over five years. She assists DCG/Watershed in developing technical documents for environmental plans and policies, code amendments for local jurisdictions, permitting for private and public clients, and natural resource mitigation planning. Her prior experience includes conducting environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, and facilitating regulatory compliance in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. Prior to consulting, Devin worked as an Ecological Restoration Technician, restoring heavily impacted green belt corridors and natural areas around Seattle.

Outside of DCG/Watershed

Outside of work, you can find Devin on the beach playing volleyball or hiking one of the many trails in the PNW. She also enjoys travelling and indulging in new cultural experiences.

Conservation and Sustainability Efforts

Since 2018, Devin has volunteered with the University of Washington Botanic Gardens and the Washington Natural Heritage Program as a Rare Plant Conservationist. She conducts plant surveys and monitors populations of threatened or endangered species throughout Washington State. Devin also volunteers annually to work with the City of Seattle Trees for Neighborhoods Program distributing free trees and educating recipients on planting methods and long-term tree maintenance.
