DAWN SPILSBURY
GIS ANALYST AND ECOLOGIST
Dawn is a GIS analyst and ecologist with 21 years of experience in the Pacific Northwest. She supports DCG/Watershed with UAV (drone) aerial imagery services, GIS services, climate resiliency planning and habitat restoration planning. In addition to being a FAA licensed UAV pilot, she has a diverse set of skills and experiences including facilitation of citizen committees and technical work groups, management of restoration programs and scientific communications to policy and legislative decision makers. Prior to joining DCG/ Watershed, she worked in the public sector for Island County and for The Suquamish Tribe where she managed habitat restoration grant programs and was a member of several Puget Sound and State advisory committees and work groups pertaining to salmon recovery.
Outside of DCG/Watershed
Outside the office, Dawn can be found under the trees or by the sea, enjoying the Pacific Northwest through her camera lens and with her teenager - when the teenager allows it. She also spends time with her border collies as members of the Whidbey K9 Search and Rescue team.
